This Warranty Policy sets out the limited warranty offered by Art of Space LLP, trading as Silk.sg, for eligible products sold through silk.sg.

1. Coverage Summary

This warranty applies only to manufacturing defects affecting the primary function of eligible products from the date of delivery, and only for normal residential use unless otherwise stated.

  • 10-year structural warranty: internal structural frames of eligible sofas, beds, and tables made of solid wood or metal.
  • 2-year mechanism warranty: eligible moving hardware and mechanisms such as hinges, drawer slides, and gas lifts.

2. Warranty Scope

  • This is primarily a parts-replacement warranty unless we determine that another remedy is more appropriate.
  • We may repair the item, replace the affected part or product, provide a partial refund, or offer another reasonable remedy depending on the issue and product availability.
  • Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, or functionally equivalent, depending on availability.

3. What You Need to Provide

  • Proof of purchase or order number.
  • Clear photographs or videos of the issue.
  • Measurements, serial labels, or further information if reasonably needed to verify the claim.
  • Return of the affected part for inspection where reasonably necessary and requested by us.

4. Shipping and Labour

  • For verified manufacturing defects in Singapore, Silk will cover the reasonable shipping or delivery cost of replacement parts supplied under warranty.
  • Labour, assembly, disassembly, onsite service, third-party installer charges, and revisit fees are not included unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
  • Reasonable remote troubleshooting or installation guidance may be provided where helpful.

5. Warranty Exclusions

  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, fading, pilling, and ordinary softening of foam or upholstery.
  • Misuse, overloading, abuse, accidents, improper maintenance, improper storage, or unauthorized repair or modification.
  • Damage caused by third-party assembly, relocation, or installation work.
  • Environmental damage such as mold, pests, corrosion, flood, water ingress, excessive humidity, or outdoor exposure for indoor items.
  • Commercial, institutional, rental, or other non-residential use unless the product is expressly sold for such use.

6. Items Not Considered Manufacturing Defects

  • Natural variations in wood grain, stone patterning, leather, fabric texture, and handcrafted finishes.
  • Reasonable colour differences caused by lighting, photography, monitor settings, or production batch variation.
  • Minor marks or cosmetic imperfections that do not materially affect normal use.

7. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Please contact us via https://silk.sg/contact/ with your order number, a description of the issue, and supporting photos or videos. If installation reveals a missing or defective component, pause further work where reasonable and contact us before discarding packaging or affected parts.
